Killing Floor 2 Hits Early Access This Monthby mattchelen on April 8, 2015, 10:42 a.m.
Kill more Zeds in a shinier game.
The highly anticipated sequel to the extremely popular wave-based survival game, Killing Floor, has been announced as entering Early Access on April 21st. You're all probably going "what? Early Access? Please no!" I know, it came as a shock to me, too, but we will all probably be buying it anyways. According to the release sent out today, it's "fully functional" and "highly polished," using those exact words, so we can at least hope that that is the case while we wait to find out.
The Early Access release, however, will include only a "subset of Killing Floor 2 content." This consists of "[three] non-linear levels" that contain four different perk classes, twenty-seven weapons, eleven different types of Zed, seven characters, which they made sure to specify included a female character, one boss, and a mod SDK. Basically, a whole lot of stuff that will probably keep us all busy for quite some time. Especially if modding takes off.
The game will start out on Early Access at $29.99 where the price will stay, according to the Steam store page. Are you hyped? I'm hyped.
